A wonderful ending to a great week!

We may have caught Jacob with his eyes closed for this picture, but we are still going to celebrate and share with you about a wonderful ending to The Learning Center's week. Jacob passed his first section of the GED (Language Arts). Jacob has overcome many obstacles to get to this point and we all couldn't be happier for him. Jacob also passed his practice social studies test today so please pray for him as he studies and prepares to take this test next.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! We have so much to reflect on and to be thankful for. We are thankful for each of our students who walk through the doors at The Learning Center. You bless us with your attendance. We are also so very thankful for each of our volunteers and how you pour love and knowledge into the students.

Congratulations, Destini!

Destini earned her GED last week when she passed her final section of the test. Destini said she was thankful for her instructors who gave her the confidence to keep moving forward in her classes. Destini plans to apply to college and work in the graphic design field. Congratulations, Destini!

International Student's Day

Today is International Student's Day. Here at The Learning Center we have many students who are from all over the world. A few of the countries represented here are Mexico, Kenya, Morocco, Pakistan, Argentina, Nicaragua, and Zimbabwe. We celebrate each of you!

Gloria Showed Up

Gloria kept showing up. She showed up when she was tired and the morning came early. She showed up during a pandemic when life felt a little uncertain. She showed up when it was just plain HARD. Gloria put in the work, perseverance, and dedication. So today we celebrate with her as she passed her first GED section (Language Arts). Gloria put up her first check mark on the wall in celebration. Congratulations, Gloria!

Well done, Xavier!

Xavier walked in to The Learning Center yesterday, handed over his textbooks and said, "It feels like a huge weight is lifted off of me." His determination, good attitude, and perseverance paid off yesterday when Xavier passed his final test and received his diploma. Xavier is now focused on college with aspirations of working in Information Technology. Congratulations, Xavier! We are all so proud of you.

Congratulations, Francisca!

We are praising the Lord for His grace and goodness. Today we are celebrating yet another GED recipient and graduate. Francisca passed her last test today and achieved her goal of earning her GED.

Congratulations, Francisca! We are so proud of you.

You did it, Joseph!

Joseph was all smiles when he learned he passed his final GED test and earned his GED this past Thursday. Starting in a GED program after being out of school for many years is a daunting and often overwhelming task for many students. We are so proud of Joseph for putting in the hard work and achieving his goals. Congratulations, Joseph!
